Default Opinions on 2009 XF S/C

Hello All!

In February I purchased a 2009 XF Supercharged with just over 37K miles on the clock. Everything looked clean and the carfax looked like it had been kept up well with very regular inspections and service at only Jag dealers until it was traded to a MB dealership. It was serviced by an independent before it was offered for sale by the MB dealership. I have it at an independent right now to have the a/c checked as the compressor is not cycling on but everything else seems OK. My question is what else should I be looking out for since this car seems to have very low mileage for a '09?

Thanks for your help!

I have the same car about 75k on her now.... The only thing I've had issues with is I have had one headlight intermittently gi out for a few mins then come right back on... Hasn't been out long enough for me to diagnose any issues... The other is my parking assist system will randomly not work and a contact dealer message on the info system will pop up but will start working again after a bit... Those are really the only issues I've had with mine...

Thank you for that! I had gotten a bad feeling when I took mine to the mechanic to work on the a/c and he has had problems getting his system to talk to the car's computer. Then hearing about the diff problems and water pumps got me worrying about whether I made the right decision buying the car. I really think that I got a good one, but have had a few minor things that will keep me wondering none the less!

>water pumps

I believe that is only for the 5.0 motors. The 4.2s are pretty bullet-proof (although not a powerful, if that makes a difference...)

Having the same headlight issue...took to Jaguar and they havnt sorted out yet....my performance mechanic highly suspects ballast issue...may replace with aftermarket ballast as Jag wanted 425$.
