This code is telling me something's wrong with my catalytic converter can someone tell me what the solution is please I have a 2010 Jaguar xfr

 

P0240 is not a Jaguar defined code for the 5.0 N/A or S/C engines. First suspect the compatability of your code reader.

Bet he means p0420. Every time I’ve had this I’ve had a very slight vacuum leak on one bank

 

That sounds more likely. Anything other than a slight leak like yours (giving a lean mixture) which can be fixed indicates physical damage to the cat from oil or fuel contamination. Unburned fuel is a cat killer.
