Default P2098

I received the following code the other day
p2098 p2098
.

P2098 is an OBD-II generic code for the enginecontrol module (ECM) detecting the post catalyst O2 sensor fuel trim is testing too lean on a two trip minimum to set the code.

I replaced my cats and O2 sensors 5 months ago, highly doubt they are the problem. Can someone provide me any information on what specs the sensors should be reading at or anything that may help diagnose the issue. I heard a air leak later today, think the cat to intake may have a leak.
thanks.

With a leak, fix it as it may have caused the code.

Thanks, JagV8, I have not had a chance to look back into my issue yet. However, I initially received code P0491 (Secondary Air Injection System Insufficient Flow (Bank 1)) then the code was cleared and I received the following code later that day or the next day P2098 (Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 2).

I heard a hissing noise from Bank 1 (RH) area, sound can be heard way better standing at the LH side, facing the tire, due to it echoing off the RH wheel well wall.

I assume it may a line going to the RH exhaust manifold, which is hard to see, even with a borescope. This may sound stupid but I was using sports mode on Friday and Saturday, I began to notice on Saturday, sports mode is causing my car's transmission to switch gears later than it usually would in sports mode. I'm beginning to think this is due to the air or vacuum leak. Could this be or is it just stupid?

If you have a supercharger with the vacuum actuator, check that hose by the throttle body.

Mine was crumbling.

It is not the SC model, I have the premium luxury model. I raised the car up and discovered by LH catalytic converter (cc) -connection- to the muffler is the culprit. There was black carbon residue on the cc, I tried to tighten the clamp however it did not resolve the issue. When I installed the cc, it was a PIA to beat the cc into the muffler joint. I'm going to take some pictures in the next day or two and try adding another clamp next to the existing clamp. As I believe I tried to widen the muffler joint to make it easier to install the cc, this may have caused the small void I found.

any idea what this could be from. I have replaced the engine and transmission due to another issue however I have the same 2 codes still p2096 & p2098. I planning to get the car smoke tested for leaks.

No point guessing.

Fix known problems, check fuel trims, etc.
