Pads & Rotors- True of False??? Help

the rotors have 11k on them- they mechanic said "front rotors fine"
back u have another 6k miles approx…
many recommend him on this board- my first thought is they were not OEM pads….. i looked can't find it.
so now I trudge back to him
IF ALL OF A SUDDEN he changes and says "front rotors need replacing"
I will bring it back to jag….
rotors can't go in 11k miles - not the way its been driven
