Is this the dreaded hose under the supercharger? 2010 SV8
2010 XF SV* 4.2 s/c.
I had a 'low coolant' warning come on last night, there was red coolant residue all over the front of the engine so today I hit it with the pressure cleaner, let it dry off and then applied a little pressure to the cooling system with compressed air via a schrader valve screwed into the bleeder port. I could see a jet of coolant coming from this hose which is under the supercharger snout and above the coolant pump. The hose is approx 1.5" o.d. and is highlighted in this photo by my torch beam:
I'd appreciate help identifying this hose so I can give a part number to the dealer if possible. The diagrams in the workshop manual don't seem to help much and I can't seem to visually trace the hose beyond where it disappears to the right side- is this the dreaded hose under the supercharger that requires removal of the charger to replace? There are numbers barely visible on the hose, best I can manage in my attempts to read them are : 6(or 8?)R83-8(or 9?)Y438-8C. There's a second line of alphanumeric characters that i have no chance whatsoever of reading with the hose insitu. My limited Jaguar experience suggests that these numbers are not a part number.
Whilst peering around for the other end of this hose I spotted some body parts where they don't belong;
A little work with my long-nosed compressed air nozzle coaxed him out to where he was more visible.
Everyone says these guys are harmless, but they haven't seen my driving when one of these pops out of a vent and walks across the dash, or peers at me from behind the sun visor when I pull it down.

Reason: No hits. Need help.
If you're taking it to the dealer, just put a dot of yellow or white paint on the pipe. They will know the right part numbers. I would also have them pressure test the whole system as it's common for more than one pipe to be leaking too, and perhaps the water pump.
And don't drive it if it's leaking as if you overheat the engine it's probably toast...
Not taking it to a dealer. Tossing up whether to do the job myself or give it to my mechanic whom I trust. For now trying to ascertain whether this is a job that requires removing the supercharger or not, which will feed the decision as to when / where / who does this. Part number would be helpful too.
