Pushing the start button earlier today to the ignition on position I noticed very briefly in blue letters "PATS SECURE DIAGNOSTIC OR DIAGNOSIS" I'm not sure about the last word because as I said it was very briefly displayed. I have spent a couple of hours trying to find the meaning of this and have come up rather empty handed. I wondered if anyone on here has seen this before and has some insight into what it means and or why it displayed. I have cycled the ignition sequence many times since it appeared and have yet to have it show up again??

PATS is the passive anti theft system. Sounds like it was having a little wobbly over something. Try looking for DTC's. might just be a dying battery in the fob and it struggled to communicate properly.

 

batteries in both fobs are brand new energizer(the thicker stye) i find those skinny ones dont work. That image appeared many times over the course of my sdd session
almost everytime i ran a calibration, service function or module reprogram which completed successfully yet remained fitted and not responding(i find that to be strange in itself)
