Default Quoted $4k for Cam Cover Gasket replacement???

Just got quoted by local Jag dealership just over $4k for cam cover gasket replacement on a 2011 Jaguar XFR Supercharged V8 5.0. Does this sound right? Did a few quick google searches and found a few different quote between $1,000-$1,200. Any input would be much appreciated

The supercharger has to be removed to remove the valve covers, it’s lot of labor. I’d recommend a good Indy shop.

An independent should be about half that or less. I had it done and the valve covers leaked again in a year. The plastic valve covers warp over time. My independent replaced with new covers and gaskets. (Gave me a big discount on labor the second time). If you are going that far in, replace the spark plugs and the coolant line under the supercharger.
