Default replacement fob(s)

Both of my fobs are eating batteries at a pace that I just can't believe, the last couple times one of the fobs has only lasted 2 to 4 weeks on a new battery. When I bought the car I had to abandon one of the fobs because it was behaving the same way.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Any advice on the best way to pick up and get a new one programmed? I see zillions on ebay, some in new condition. I'm also interested in whether any of the newer (and much better looking ones) are compatible with my 2010 XFR.

Never had a problem with mine, 2012 XF. Have the dealer re-program them and see if that solves the problem.
