Retrofit XFR Rear Diffuser
What are everybody's thoughts on this project? I have seen many people over in the UK are doing this. I know there is some work involved but nothing crazy, all you have to do is make new slots for the tabs of the new valance. A dremil tool would do the trick. There is a guy on you tube who does a video on it. I know Mina offers the the Diffuser and I sure it's top notch. I called there and they said it comes in one piece and I was a little worried about how that looked considering I would want it two toned. The factory set comes in two pieces and the finned underplate already comes in gloss black, the top valance is all that needs to be painted. Finned underplate - C2Z16212 ($182.40) Top surround - C2Z16211 ($60.38) so that's a huge savings and to have OEM parts. Has anyone done this?
I ordered a carbon fiber one from Mina last Friday...looking forward to putting it on.
I installed the rear diffuser last summer and it came out awesome.. I had it done in two tone and you can also add the carbon fiber parts as well. Took me all of a hour to install. Reaxion XFR was my inspiration and Mina supplied all the parts.

The one I started the thread with is OEM and comes in two pieces. There is a little work to be done to make it fit, but nothing you couldn't do in your garage. The Mina is a direct fit as the slots match up and it comes in one piece.
Your correct, The OEM part is two piece for the "R" model and that same part is also the one piece for the stock supercharged.
The Mina set up is a one piece direct fit unless you get the carbon fiber inserts which come as a seperate piece.
The carbon fiber from Mina is actually a one piece as well. I'm getting the top lip paint matched today and will install tonight or tomorrow.
Yes.. Your correct, the mina carbon fiber is one piece. Although, Chris told me that if you wish to have the carbon fiber added to the base diffuser, They will be making a add on part. I'm happy right now with the two tone paint. And BTW, that really looks good..
Thanks Red. Mina is starting to do a lot with carbon fiber, so I wouldn't doubt that they'll be adding much more to their arsenal.
I'm in the process of doing it. From what I know of so far, 2012 and up XF Supercharged and XFR Share the same 3 piece bumpers. So all you need is the fins ( C2Z16211 ). Non-super charged XF's is a 2 piece bumper so you'll need to get the valance ( C2Z16212 ) and fins ( C2Z16211 ).
I'm curious, on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being easy breezy and 10 being oh Sh*t that was a pain.. how would you rate the install of the Mina diffuser and exhaust?
I ask, because I suckered my buddy into helping me do this same project a couple of weeks ago and it took the 2 of us about an hour and some degree of cursing.. I would rate it a 6.5-7.0 on the scale because 1. it does take two people and 2. It didn't seem it was going to go on until we muscled it into place. I felt sure I was going to break a tab or have it pop off when I hit the first bump.
Wish I'd known you were doing this we could have had a diffuser party.
