I have a 2009 XF PL with Nav but no Sirius Satellite Radio. Does anyone know how I could add SatRad? I don't want to buy anything that won't be integrated into the existing system like the OEM SatRad. I've tried some 'junk yards' but no luck. Called Customer Service, no luck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

If I am not mistaken, there is a transmitter that can be mounted in the trunk that you can purchase online.

Frankly I am surprised that your dealer will not jump at the chance to install one for you. I talked to a Mercedes dealer a few years ago and they wanted $800 for the unit.

Seriously, these units are small and I would not be shocked to see the connections tucked neatly inside the trunk. One caution is that the dealer may have to "reprogram" the nav to display the sat radio settings. It actually may be a "DIY" project.
