Since I'm getting new tires (Bridgestone S-04's) and America's Tire had some deals/rebates this weekend including interest free financing, I decided to pull the trigger on some new rims as well.

Chose the Savini BM-12's with machined face and black accents. Got them for a ridiculous price with a price match using DiscountedWheelWarehouse.com pricing. The set of 4 staggered 20's was only $1,136! Discounted Wheel Warehouse is local to me and also fine to deal with directly. I bought a set of rims for the GF's car a few years back, but already had one inquiry on the credit and made the most of it at America's Tire.

The older Savini styles are $1760 for the same sizes so not sure what is going on. The. BM-11's, BM-12's and BM-13's are all new styles for them so maybe they are trying to get them into the market.

Should get them Thursday or Friday and will post some photos shortly after.

Took these with my phone on the way home so quality not great. Trying to get used to so much air and brakes where the wheels used to be. Offset is perfect!

 

Did you leave the 15 mm spacers on or take them off?
Also, how are you finding the new tires, seeing as they are the exact same tires I have had for the last 16 months?
Maybe a bit early to tell how they grip and handle, but you should by now have some indication of ride and noise.
I find mine ride really nicely and low noise for such low profile tires.

 

Spacers are gone and already have a buyer! Now I have to sell the stock rims.

I've only driven surface streets so far and new tires always feel so much better than the old ones so too early to tell. I also have no idea what pressure they are at so I wasn't judging ride yet either. I'll check tomorrow and really get a good feel for them. But they seem to grip a lot better than the Hankooks ever did out of the hole.

 

Kyanite, looking good as usual. These are sharp looking wheels. I paid about $1300 for my Saving BM3 staggered 20's, so your price seems like a great deal. One of the things I like with Savini besides the look and quality is the custom bore and offsets ,so no spacers, no hub rings.

I thought your calipers were red on the XFR? Have you ever thought about painting them kyanite color? A contrast color would look good too. Very visible now as you said.

Thanks. It was very hard for me to decide what to choose, but the price definitely got me to move. Your BM3's would have been my second choice, but they are now basically discontinued and I wanted something that would be around a little longer in case of an issue (so damn paranoid now about bending/breaking rims). The offset is absolutely perfect, couldn't have asked for better.

So funny you bring up caliper color. The stock calipers are a dark gray with an R logo on them. They do not stand out at all. Was looking through "painted brake calipers" Google search last night to see what I would want to do and found a photo of some Mercedes calipers in a metallic blue that I thought would look good. Still have to do some thinking before I make a choice which way to go. But I agree that something as close to body color might be the best option.

One issue with these wheels is they use larger center caps so I can't use the new Jaguar ones I bought. Does anyone know where I can find Jaguar caps that are 70mm or larger (they are 74mm with a hub bore of 63mm)?

The 12''s are a great look for your car. The 3''s are less aggressive and discontinued as you said. Not sure where to get right size center caps. I haven't looked to replace mine.

 

Fitment is great on those, do you happen to know the widths and offsets?
