I have a XF 2.7 with 125k on it, when I purchased it, it had had the DPF removed, cleaned and replaced.

although I do 15 miles to work each day 8 miles on M1, the car goes into re-gen every couple of weeks, i'm aware of this as when it does it and I stop at lights etc the car shakes violently, if stood for a long period the restricted performance light comes on (always goes off on re-start)

I don't get the Dpf full message ever, once the re-gen finishes the car drives like a dream so much power, until I switch it off and on again then it's back to normal which is not bad but nowhere near the power and smooth engine running.

So is the gamble of paying out all that money on a new Dpf worth it?
