Default Single cup-holder retrofit

I drove a 2011 XF yesterday and noticed that the single cup holder in the console of my 2009 XF PL has been replaced with a more functional area to hold phones, power outlet, etc. (who really needs 3 cup holders anyway?).

Does anyone know if my 2009 could be retrofit with this improvement?

No, but the dual cupholder insert can be removed which will open up a large storage space.

You can get accessory part no. C2Z5723 which will replace the front cupholder with an ash tray and also provide you with an additional power outlet between the rear two cup holders. See photo. I asked the dealer about this and I believe it was around $150, so I decided to pass.
