Slight pinging on light load acceleration
Hi all. I have a 2010 XFR with approx. 7K. After my first service, I started to notice a slight pinging on acceleration from 2500 to 3500 rpm when the car is already warm/hot. It doesn't do it when the engine is fairly cold. The shop foreman from my dealer confirmed it on a test drive. He told me that I should change the type of gas I was using (Shell Vpower) and use Chevron Techron and I would eventually get rid of the pinging.
I did that, but it's not completely gone. Anyone else experience this, and if so, what was the cause/solution. It's driving me crazy. Thanks in advance.

mu 03 does this from time to time, and I use shell almost exclusively too...will switch to chevron for awhile, as an experiment.
No idea what to tell you, I thought my plugs were starting to foul, as they're original...but that can't be your problem, so I'm clueless.
