Start Button (Heartbeat) -Jaguar XF 2009- Wont start
Hi, so my jag was turned off, but i was sitting in the car without the ignition being on.
when i tried to start, it didn't start , although it detected the key by showing the "heart beat pulse" when i put my foot on brake to start. But it doesn't turn on.
The dome light inside the car is on (Blue colour) , The exterior there is this small light on and its not turning off at all. So i had to leave my car on side of the road and i locked the door. until tomorrow morning i can take the car to mechanic. Before i take it, do u guys have any suggestions? should i pull a fuze out? or any other suggestions ? is my battery dead?(if it is then how is the dome light on? and also deck is working and also the heartbeat on start button beats?
Please help me some one to solve this. i don't think its my key issue. i have a feeling the computer is corrupted some how.
please help thanks

Welcome to the forum Shane7,
The vehicle could have lost communication with the Smartkey. Locking / Arming - Unlocking / Disarming and then attempting a restart will ensure communication. Docking the Smartkey eliminates any effects of a low Smartkey battery.
The current Jaguar models are all extremely sensitive to vehicle battery condition and charge. Average battery life is around 5 years so yours could be on the way out if it's the original. A partially discharged battery will prevent the vehicle from starting but will still allow all other functions to operate. Before calling for $$$ help, it could be worth having the battery tested.
