Battery!??
So I bought my new to me 2010 XFR on Sat 20th, went out of town all last week, came home - no start...dead. Got on line here and there is a plethora of info on dead batteries, how far the fob should be, what battery to use etc etc...
Called the Jag dealer - they came and grabbed it - flat bed tow truck, and have taken it back to the dealership. GM said he will replace with a new battery.
Should I tell them to check/replace anything else in particular???

jonesy, also make sure that they recalibrate the loss of power circuit for the battery monitor. Due to what the car experienced, it is possible that the calibration of that circuit is in question and the dealership can re-calibrate it.
If you are planning on leaving the vehicle garaged for several days at a time, a battery tender is a good investment.
The one listed in the Jaguar accessory brochure is a re-badged CTEK. Costs about one third of the Jaguar price to buy a CTEK.

I just had this happen to me a couple weeks ago on my new to me 2010 XFR. Except in my case the battery was practically brand new. From what I have gathered, is that if you 1) leave the car unlocked, it will drain the battery, 2) if the key fob is within a certain distance it will drain battery.
To mediate this I have decided to just drive my car a bit every day if I can!

Yeah I have gathered the same thing. Unfortunately mine sits 3 days in a row at the airport. I hope that it will last btw drives.

so it was the battery...apparently the one it was the original OEM one - 4yo. They replaced it with the same one from a Land Rover LR3 (big one) for free. Great service and happy now.
I'm starting to think that I might be having battery issues as well. Random glitches here and there that didn't happen prior to changing the original battery on my 09 this past November.
I changed it to be proactive and because winter was coming but perhaps it caused more harm than good.
