Default Startup Squeak Jaguar XF Superchaged

Hello All
I'm new to this forum.
I just picked up a 2009 Jaguare XF Superchaged with about 80k on it. It runs great but i have a belt/pulley squeak when starting cold. Once the car is warmed up the squeak goes away.
Im thinking I will change the belt and idler pulley while im in there.

Am i on the right path? Any other common issues with this issue?

Let me know,
Thanks

In the somewhat distant past, when I had a start up noise like you describe with a car, I used 'belt dressing' on the belt and if it stopped, I knew it was the belt. I have not had this issue with any of my Jaguars though.
Other problem could be water pump bearings, you mentioned idler, or alternator bearings.
Likely someone else more familiar with Jaguar issues such as yours, will give more complete comment.
Lawrence.

The 4.2L SC engine had a re-design of the belt and tensioners for just this noise. Now it was for the S Type and your 2009 should have the updated stuff.

But it's worth a look anyway.
