Default Transmission/drive select error in Sport mode??

I wanted to ask before bringing to the dealer.
The car has started to give an odd error that I think might be transmission or at least selector oriented. No CEL lights at all.
Has anyone encountered this before?
Please bear with my description and process of elimination:

If I drive the car with gear selector in "D"rive, with or without use of paddle shifters, or in Regular or Dynamic mode, I have no issues.

If I drive the car with gear selector in "S"port, in regular (not dynamic mode), with or without use of paddle shifters, I have no issues.

If I put the car in Dynamic mode (regardless of ESP on or TRAC) and rotate the selector into "S"port and drive WITHOUT using the paddle shifters, no issues.

Here's the rub:
In dynamic mode (regardless of ESP on or Trac) and "S"port selected.
If I manually shift (regardless which gear) using the paddle shifter (so the BIG gear number shows on the display), I get a little red caution triangle on the head unit display.
When I press the red triangle, the display reads " warning, see message center and refer to drivers handbook" with a "clear warning" button. There is nothing on the message center other than the Big gear number.

If I then press the "clear warning" button on the head unit, my dash display that has the "Big gear number" reverts to the circle with the clock in it and pushes the gear numbers on top (as if you were manually shifting in "D"), BUT it does not have the little dot on the circle that indicates which drive mode the car is in (PRNDS).

If I then rotate the selector into "D"rive and then back into "S"port it seems to all reset, but if I again manually shift via paddle where it displays the BIG gear number (expected) the red triangle error appears again.
If I ignore the red triangle and hold the upshift paddle so it goes back into automatic "S" mode, the triangle goes away. Shift with the paddle, the red triangle error re-appears. I can repeat this unless I press the triangle and subsequently press the "clear warning", in which case it goes back to the drive select circle display with no selection indicated. and then I have to move from D to S again.

Making it more confusing is that there does not seem to be a drivability issue. The car drives and shifts just fine regardless.
If I ignore the red triangle, it operates as it should with the BIG shift numbers displaying properly as I shift. Even if I clear the error, I can still shift but it just doesn't show the "BIG" number but the circle on the display like it should.
(I have not tried to see if it lets me bounce the rev limiter after clearing the error and no shift selector dot displaying).

Hope that made sense...Any ideas? Thanks!

What you're referencing is merely an oversight in the software programming within the XF's ECU. Whenever there is anything displayed in the center info screen of the dash, that little warning triangle will turn on in the Navigation display.

I noticed this little quirk a while back as I usually drive in dynamic mode using the paddles in the "S" setting. Nothing to worry about! After tens of thousands of miles on the highway, hundreds of miles in the canyons, and a few miles on the track, I have zero issues to report.

Carry on!
