Wink Transponder

Hi,
I have a brand new 2016 XF Premium and love it! However, I live in a gated community and my transponder sticker will not open the gate. In my old car, I placed it under the rearview mirror on the windshield. I stuck it in several other places on the windshield with no luck...anyone else have this problem? Your advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
Debbie

Is your transponder similar to an EZ Pass transponder? In the case of the EZ Pass, as long as you don't mount it behind black dots on the windshield or the black tape, it will work with no problems. Are you sure your transponder hasn't died?

If it's the transponder sticker from your old car then removing it may have destroyed it. Happened to me with toll tag but fortunately they don't charge for replacement ones yet. And I was also told they can die from the heat after a few years...

It's just a sticker you peel off and attach to your windshield.

It's a brand-new sticker.
