Hello fellow jag drivers,

I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the engine in a 2013 XF (start/stop button) without turning off the audio/climate?
For me it sounds like I have to turn off the engine which also turns off everything and then turn on the audio/climate.

If you use "eco-mode" when you put the car in park, it will cut the engine and keep the Audio/climate running. Downside is using "eco".

 

Yes, with eco-mode you can do that but the problem is after few seconds, even if you put the car in the park, the engine restarts automatically.

 

It is the air pulling too many amps. It should stay off for a while if you aren't using the air.

 

You are right. When I turn off the air, the engine stays off longer. That is good but better if I could have both (audio/air)

 

It even says that in the manual. If the A/C or Heat is running, depending on the outside temp, inside temp, and fan speed you have selected it may not shut off. and if it does, it wont stay off for long.
