What brought you to an XF?
Before purchasing mine, I had it narrowed to three cars - (four if you count the VERY early dismissal of the Ghibli) E-63, M5 and the XFR or XF 5.0 Supercharged.
The wife has an E-350, and while I like it and appreciate it, the car was hard to get excited about. Even the AMG variant left me a little lackluster, but it drove well and had plenty of power.
The M-5, is......well, the M-5. Great car, handles well and the performance is stellar. But it really just did not fit my personality.
I had been looking for a CPO XFR to drive, but wasn't having much luck. I let the dealer know that if a 5.0 SC were to come along, give me a call. About a month later, the phone rings. The rest, as they say is history.
Everything from the styling, to the overall feeling of the car when I am behind the wheel seemed to catch me on all cylinders. The fact that it catches my attention every time I look at it, leaves me knowing I made the right choice. As an added bonus, it is not as (for lack of a better word) as "pedestrian" as the other cars I was looking at. Fine cars they are, but this one is a damn site more unique and certainly gets more double takes.
Oh, and the fact it chews up the plethora of leased Ghibli in the area doesn't hurt my feelings either.
