Default What are these wires for? 2011 5.0 n/a pre-facelift

Hello, I have the front under tray off to remove the chrome look blades and discovered the wires with a connector just hanging down, 1 each side of the car. It looks as though the wires have just been cut, leaving both halves of the connector. There are 2 wires going into the connector. Any ideas?

The connector in the picture is a capped connector for an option that wasn’t requested/offered.
Some models come with different factory options. Instead of making different harnesses for every feature, Jaguar makes a harness to allow addition of features in the factory when requested by the customer/dealerships
They cap the connectors for the features that aren’t requested to prevent corrosion from spreading to the rest of the harness.

+1

If you investigate behind trim panels in any modern Jaguar you are likely to find a number of unused harness connectors.

Thanks all for the quick responses. I thought they might be for TPMS sensors, which aren't fitted to my car, and you have reassured me thus.

Great forum, thanks!
