Default What are you guys paying for insurance? S/C owners.

Just curious as to what you guys are paying for full coverage insurance. I am being quoted between 300/400 month and I am in Los Angeles, CA.

Thats for a 2010 S/C. What are you guys paying? I do have a DUI on my record, and the lowest quote i got is putting my wife as primary driver.

I have the 2010 XFR and a 2011 335is and I'm only paying $275 for both, full coverage through Geico. It will drop under $200 when I get rid of the BMW.

I'm guessing its that mark on your record that's doing it.

I have Geico. I pay $1468 annually for full coverage with a $100 deductible on my 2012 XFR! I live in Northern VA.

They said it would be less if it wasn't red LOL

Too many variables for one to make any meaningful comparison. Age, driving record, deductibles, location, etc.

I'm paying about $2,300 a year for the Jag (low mileage) and my G35 and bike. I think the Jag is around $1,300 a year. But I'm 46 with no points in the suburbs.

You guys are funny. Price quotes without defining deductibles, coverage limits and so on is meaningless. I would guess you are carrying the legal minimum liability coverage which is foolish if you have any assets (other than the car).

Liability only??!! Are you nuts!!! First, who would pay that amount for liability?? You can get that for $30 a month !! I'm sorry but that comment is just so f'ing stupid that it actually bothers me. Should we all post our policies on here? Lol...I have two of my Jags on my insurance policy. The other one only gets insured on the weekends when I need to take it to get washed. The benzo only gets driven around the block here and there to keep the battery charged. My wife has her car on her own policy. You want deductible amounts on all of that? Tool.

My driving record isn't the best either. But even if your record is perfect, it will still be pretty high. I don't think you will find many people paying less than $1500 on a year long policy.if you want this type of car, it is just part of the cost involved...along with maintenance, which you must stay on top of. Hope you find a sweet deal. Good luck.

Who was saying liability? But talking about liability only it was looking like that was my only option if I wanted an XF S/C.. I was getting quoted over $100 month for liability only, then I ended up finding one for $59/month.

But after everywhere quoting 400+ a month for basic comprehensive and 1000 deductible.. I found a decent quote with Geico for about 195 month.. And thats having wifey as primary driver.. So I guess paying double for the next 3 years is my only option.. bummer!

Not a one of you has mentioned limits of liability. If you are carrying the minimum California limits, you are exposed to financial ruin! And kiddhan, you are kidding yourself. I make no assumption, but you say "full coverage" and never mention limits of liability! I suspect you have no concept of your exposure.

The Minimum Liability Insurance Requirements for Private Passenger Vehicles (California Insurance Code §11580.1b)
$15,000 for injury/death to one person.
$30,000 for injury/death to more than one person.
$5,000 for damage to property.

It does not take much of an at fault wreck to exceed those numbers. So,without defining limits of coverage, all of these numbers are meaningless.

$300,000 is marginal coverage and a million or two is better.

Frankly? Yes. I even double checked as I have several vehicles insured with them. Full coverage including road side service. Total of 6 month premium = $458.15 which works out to $76.35 a month. Limits are 300k/500k I'm not sure what else to say about it. What exactly do I have to gain by lying anyway? That's just silly. It is what it is. Very simple.
