Windscreen washer fuse location
My Jaguar XF (2008 2.7D) washer pump has stopped working (it was a new pump fitted in October 2021, 5 months ago). It seems odd that the pump should have gone again so soon, so I wanted to check the fuse first before changing it again. Unfortunately I am unable to positively identify the fuse for this circuit. I have the users manual but that makes no mention of the windscreen washers in the fuse boxes. The workshop electrical and repair manuals are not more help on the subject. There is a “Power Wash” fuse (F6 in the engine compartment fuse box, which there is nothing wrong with), but is that the fuse for the windscreen washers? The car does not have headlamp washers, so it’s unlikely to be for that! If anyone knows for sure I would be grateful for confirmation. Thanks.
Update... I have checked for voltage at the pump and found there is nothing when the switch is operated, so it would appear not to be the pump but rather the supply voltage to the pump. So, its back to looking for the fuse or a relay? Anyone know about a relay for the washers and if there is one, where it is located? Thanks.
Problem solved. In the end it was just bad connections in the connector block where it attaches to the pump. Still don't know if there is a relay and/or fuse, so if anyone does know, then I would be very interested to find out still. Thanks.
