Default XF 2.7 Premium Lux question

Hi all ime Pete from Durham England.I have at present an X Type 2.0litre Diesel Sport which has been a very good motor over the 3 years I have owned it but time for a change and in process of buying a XF 2.7 Premium Lux.Its a 58 plate but I am a bit concerned about a couple of things. The bonnet opens easily enough and sits well when closed but it does not seem to close fully ie when you press on the bonnet there is some slight movement up and down when locked in place. Also inside the car on the steering wheel the jaguar logo boss in the centre of the wheel is pushed in.Now maybe I am just a sceptical sort of guy and worrying about nothing but my curious mind keeps thinking has the car been in an accident and the drivers wheel airbag has gone off.
So if anyone can give me a bit of support and guidance I would really appreciate it.

Regards

Pete

Both of these issues are quite common, I have both on my car, and they are nothing to worry about.
The bonnet movement is pretty much standard on every XF, I've tried adjusting mine with limited success.
I'd say 50% of XFs have a dented 'growler' in the middle of the steering wheel, when I got mine I thought this was normal until others complained about the same thing. Apparently the badge is deliberately thin and lightweight, so as not to cause much damage if the airbag goes off, and any over enthusiastic bashing on the horn will dent it in.

I have 2 XF's and neither have a dented badge. If the airbag went off, the whole piece that has the badge would be replaced, including the badge. You can't just stuff an airbag back into the holder after it's gone off.

The hood has little rubber stoppers that probably need to be raised (turn counterclockwise) to stop the hood from moving around. Don't do it too much though. A little at a time and test until the the movement is taken out.

Hi all I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times over but how many of you guys when purchasing a used Jag have taken out warranties.
Been offered one from the dealer its a Vauxhall garage and my nephew is manager there. He informs me its a good one at £495 for two years but it states quote(Mechanical or electrical breakdown is the failure of a component causing a sudden stoppage of its function other than wear and tear, normal deteriation or negligence.)
Now then this car is a 58 plate 5/6 years old 77,000 miles.how do you prove if its normal breakdown or wear and tear????????????
