Newbie here. Thanks for all the posters who have given so much information on this forum.

My car sat for awhile and my battery was really low. The XF was giving me one of two error messages after charging the battery. "Parking Brake Fault" seemed the most common.

After reading through a lot of posts and helpful information, I found that for me removing and replacing the fuse in the passenger side for the electronic parking break put the EPB system into reset and all is well. My manual did have the fuse listed and after removing, checking, and replacing it the calibration message appeared.

To calibrate PB, just set and release the PB 3 times and it should be re calibrated.
