XF A/C not engaging
Hi all,
I have a 64 plate XF 3.0d I've had for 18 months. Car has been sat and barely used the last few months which is pretty normal considering the situation we all find ourselves in.
2 things have popped up. 1, the stop start isn't working but I take this as a good thing.
2, the air conditioning has just stopped working. It doesn't sound like it comes on at all. You know how you can usually hear that click and whur? Nothing anymore and just warm air.
I've tried changing the fuses that I can find for the air con. There's 1 under the bonnet and 1 in the foot well on the driver's side but no no avail.
Could it be that the battery is just too low (doubtful)? Or just needs a refill? (Doubtful)
Is there anything else I can try before I have to consider finding some money to get it fixed in a garage? Times are tough *world's tiniest violin* 🎻
Thanks in advance.

Stop start is most likely the battery. Once it charges back up fully it should come on again. If not then battery prob needs replacing (think your year used a second battery for stop start). Or you can just leave it off!
AC hard to tell without diagnostics. You prob need to take it to an AC shop with diagnostic equipment and they should be able to assess the issue quickly

Think I'll have to take it to be diagnosed. Hoping it's nothing serious!
