XF DAB Reception Issues (Sportbrake v6) - Help Needed
Hi All,
I have read the answer on here about other issues related to the XF and DAB "no reception" issues. Which has left me with a couple questions. I have a XF Portfolio Sportbrake V6 2013 (X250 I think).
For reference :-
However can you help confirm :-
I have read the answer on here about other issues related to the XF and DAB "no reception" issues. Which has left me with a couple questions. I have a XF Portfolio Sportbrake V6 2013 (X250 I think).
For reference :-
- BBC Radio 1 DAB works
- It was working (maybe weak in rain), I lost signal in a village in Devon and then when switching back from FM which is working fine, couldn't get anything but Radio 1 DAB.
- Sat Nav is working
- Since losing it, it has come back once, but after restarting the car it was gone
However can you help confirm :-
- Where is the DAB module in the car, Under the passenger seat, somewhere in the boot (near the sat nav system?) Rear near side pilar like the saloon?
- Is there anything else I should check?
There are 2 DAB aerials on the car, the one in the shark fin is for Band L which is not used in the UK. The aerial you should be looking at is in the rear screen.
On your car the DAB+ module should be in the back, in a stack next to the battery!

@fivel The car has a list of stations (I assume from before the fault), If I select KISS (Please don't hate) as an example, The signal comes in and goes out as soon as the car starts to move (seems to be ok when sat still), it switches to "No Reception"
It will hold BBC Radio 1, without issue (not sure if this is Band L or not).. however any other station (which was working fine) has the same No Reception problem.
It did "fix itself" for one car journey. I suspect based on the feedback so far, lose connection or module is on the way out.
I should find time this Sunday to have a look.
Thanks for everyone help so far.

This is going to sound stupid. I've had problems with DAB 'no reception' recently. It usually sorted itself out after 10 of 15 minutes of driving. I've now realised that this only happens in normal driving mode. If I switch to Eco mode, the DAB works fine. When I switch back to Drive, I get 'No reception' again. I don't get it, but I'm happy to drive in Eco.
