Default Is the XF a double or single clutch?

My brother asked me and I'm not sure. I think it's single but can anyone confirm.

It's a regular slushbox automatic transmission.

You have a 2012 so you would have the ZF 8HP70 8 speed, for some info about this transmission see here: https://www.zf.com/corporate/en_de/p...smission.shtml

Thanks. I did watch a video about it on YouTube last night and it says it has 3 clutches and 2 brakes as it says on that link you sent me, is that right? Regardless, the gear changes are hardly noticeably, I do feel the down the shifts more as the revs rise but it's still silky smooth and I love it.

my 2012 has ZF6HP (6 speed not 8 speed). The transmission can lock the torque converter to provide quick shifts using paddles..

Mostly only German Cars have the DCT (DSG) and those are fun / faster to shift but harsher on normal driving conditions.

Mines the facelift model. It has 8 gears, not 6.
