Default XF Portfolio Texas toll tag

I'm a brand new owner of a 2012 XF Portfolio (9000 miles).

I'm in Texas and was curious if there is any problem with installing the tolltag behind the rear view mirror.

I ask because there seem to be a couple of forward pointing sensors (rain? headlight?) in the rear view mirror. Before I installed I wanted to make sure that the toll tag would not interfere with operations.

Any help would be appreciated.

Two weeks and I love the car! :-)

I wrestled with this very issue. For me there were two choices for placement:

1. Smack in the center, below the mirror mount
2. Either side of the mirror, close to the top of the windshield.

I opted for 2, on the right side. No issues. Everything works fine.

If it were black, I'd go for the middle position.

There's a thread that discusses the sensors if you want to go digging. I started it back in April, I think.

Mine is in the centre, below the mirror mount - no issues either (apart from forgetting to change the dealer tags out in their system, so I got a bunch of fines from a few occasions where it didn't scan! Waived...). I agree - shame it isn't black, but then I don't see it from the driver seat...
