XFR misfire on 2, 4, 6 and 8 plus MAF B circuit
Yet more problems with the 09 XFR. If you've followed my previous posts you'll be likely know after 6 months the car has had around 4.5k of repairs. Anywho... Driving along spiritedly, come to a junction try to pull out, no power "thats strange" look down and see DSC light. Unusual I didn't pull out that hard and I've never had tc be that disruptive before!
2 miles down the road: Restricted performance *sigh*
Baby her home, she feels like she's running on 4. Get home do a scan:
P010B - MAF bank B
P0302
P0304
P0306
P0308
(Misfire on cylinder 2, 4, 6 & 8)
Also P0300 and p0316 but I think these are symptoms of the above)
So, I was right, it's running on 4 (intermittently/mostly).
Current plan, is to clear the codes and then start it up again to see if the MAF code is a red herring, which I suspect it may be.
I'm guessing vacuum leak of some sort? Any suggestions/ideas on where to look?

Sounds like that side of the engine has all 4 injectors throwing codes. We have seen several cars do this and usually the dealer replaces all 4 injectors on that side of the engine.
Can you DIY any of the repairs?

I can do a bit, I'm used to servicing my own bikes. But I don't really have the ability to remove the supercharger from this car (I hear it's pretty heavy). So unlikely to attempt anything beneath that myself.
Your right and we don't know why but Jaguar recommends changing the entire bank of injectors even when only one goes bad. We have had several forum members change just the one injector with no problems.
As you can imagine 4 DI injectors are not cheap!
SC is not that heavy but it does have 2 locating pins which tend to get seized so you need to pull or pry the SC off the top of the engine.
The plastic cooling pipes are known for leaking so maybe you could combine several repairs at once?
The injectors do take a special tool and slide hammer to remove and they can be difficult to get free.

I was thinking more along the lines of a broken cat clogging up the exhaust?
The supercharger was only removed a few weeks ago and the coolant pipes under it replaced (along with supercharger oil, coupler and pulley, spark plugs etc). So it shouldn't be too difficult to remove it again but I don't wanna do it unnecessarily!
Also think of anything common to all 4 cylinders. Like a ground wire. That has caused all 4 injector errors before too. So other things are possible besides just injector failure.
Was the rear water manifold also changed when the SC was removed? That is another failure prone piece of plastic that is terribly difficult to replace when the SC is on. I would say impossible but at least one person has done it with the SC still on the engine. It's possible but not very easy!

It's now started misfiring on all 8 cylinders. I'm starting to think this must be a timing issue

It's due to have its gearbox oil replaced at the end of August (after having it fully rebuilt a few months back) so I'm sending it to a garage over near there for them to look at. Hopefully it's not the timing but if it is, I'll just have to sync the cost of the repairs.
It's either that or sell it as is, after having already sunk so much on it. Sunken cost fallacy I know, but I refuse to be that person that buys a dud, spends thousands fixing it and then, after a final straw, sells it on to a new owner who gets to reap the benefits of all those repairs.

Yes if it's all 8 cylinders I think you have a wiring or other electrical problem. As you said it makes no sense that 4 or 8 injectors would all go bad at once!
But keep running and erasing the codes to narrow it down.
This is the 5.0L SC engine correct?
In the US we did not get the XFR until 2010 and you have a 2009?

Update for those who end up here with similar problems and aren't sure what it was. It turned out to be a split fuel injector, peeing fuel everywhere and killing fuel pressure to the other cylinders.
I had all 8 replaced (at great expense).
@NBCat, no they haven't I just can't justify the cost, It's had as much as the car is worth spent on it in maintenance and repairs since January. If it goes I'm screwed, but I bought the car for £12.5k in January, and it's since had over £11k spent on it.

Great that you reported back because I have never heard of that failure before and if you could identify the split injector that would be a lot less expensive than replacing all 8 as you had to.
Was gas spraying in the engine compartment or how did you identify the bad injector?
