XFR Speed Pack (Spoiler)
I heard back from Chris at MG last night...
"The spoiler should be arriving in a few days and will take about a week to make.
The spoiler itself will not be more difficult to install, but if you plan on using the light then you will have to wire it to the third brake light. This should not be too difficult as you are merely splicing into those wire and connecting them to the new unit. We will likely also make one without the light."
He didn't answer my questions about cost, though. He might need to take a look at it the OEM spoiler to determine that, though.

A brake light spoiler on my '97 Nissan Maxima (or any other Japenese car), yes I can see that. I see it all the time. A brake light spoiler on my Jag? Just can't do it. Please don't make me do it!
Hehe I have a estimated cost, but I'm guessing he didn't mention it to u as it may change. They're getting the oem in soon, it's what I ordered. I decided to go oem route instead of cf not because of the price but on my car I think oem would look better. Cf looks good on light colored cars in my opinion. On mine which is Ultimste black, won't even be able to see it clearly and just look like a dusty black spoiler, had this issue on my jersey black m3
Good news is, vs an oem . The cf is not that much more. As the oem needs to be painted and etc so it won't hurt ur wallet oem vs cf. I had a estimated quote but I'll not say anything incase it causes an issue. I respect Mina's pricing and privacy.

Here's the most recent email from Chris at Mina:
I don't officially sell the CF version so do not stock it, but can get them made (takes about 4 days)."

Wow, I wish I know this was a option when I bought my 2013 "R". It wasn't in the little option book like the side sill and the mirror covers where in.. I want one but I'm not crazy about CF, I started to get the CF mirror covers but it looked more like plastic. If Chris is going to do this, Maybe it will be offered in oem style. I would prefer oem without that brake light.
I talked to Chris today on some other things I ordered and he stated that he will be doing with and without the optional brake light as well as standard or CF. He also gave me some good advice on how to remove the lip type spoiler that most of us have.
I'm a little ashamed to admit it but I kinda like the large carbon spoiler!! I've been thinking about getting it if Chris at mina gets one pulled together. My car is lunar gray with a full black pack and thought about the carbon area painted gloss black to match my roof and the sides lunar gray.
Chavy??? Who's to say!!!

I haven't heard anything from Mina in weeks. He sent me some CF side louvers which didn't fit at all, so I sent them back. He's supposed to be sending me replacements, as well as CF mirror covers.
Just got this update from Chris at Mina at 2:49 AM EST on Friday, May 24, 2013;
"Making some progress but slower than I would like. I finally have a good mold for the mirror covers and the engine cover (these are ready). The side louvers are a bit more difficult, but hope to have that ready early next week.
They started the spoiler mold (which is actually the easier part of the three), but I have told them to complete the fender louvers before they change focus.
I already have the intake tube at the shop and ordered the CF strut tube. I have a customer coming in for the engine cover next week and will take that opportunity to check out these parts more carefully."

Nope. He sent me an email a few days ago, saying that he had the mirror covers ready, but not the side louvers. He didn't mention anything at all about the spoiler, so I responded and asked about it specifically, and haven't heard back yet.
Got this from Chris at Mina Gallery last night, "I have been giving our guys so many projects that products were just not coming out correctly. I really told them to hold off finishing the rear spoiler (plus another half a dozen projects) until the fender and engine cover were ready. Now that those are complete I expect the first rear spoiler to be ready. This will be a replica of the factory unit. I will have that unit modified so the brake light is removed and then make a new mold. So realistically we are about two weeks away from the spoiler without the light."
It's too big for me, especially on a 4-door. I'll wait for the Speed Pack spoiler, assuming I'll still own my car when the spoiler is finally ready.
