I want one, see if Chris will do a group buy. I know you say it's close to being produced. But is there a idea of time frame?

 

Lol. I'm not good with keeping a secret!! I think Chris must have caller ID and knows what I'm calling about!! I've bugged him for this since the day they previewed the XFR S.

 

I hear you.. I have bugged him a few times myself over the years. In fact the CF front air splitters was in fact from me bugging him.. LOL... I've found that he works faster if you leave him be.. Hence the secret.. Anyway, it shouldn't be long now.

 

Probable another two weeks but I'll give him a call tomorrow. Group buy sounds like a great idea..

 

I have a car show May 2 and he emailed me saying he should have it ready in time.
I'm not so sure he works faster left alone, or more like when I forget about it, it's a suprise when I hear from him saying it's ready!
Either way, he's a good guy and always takes care of any problem and the quality is great.
One thing I'd keep in mind with any carbon pieces from Mina, especially if it comes in a pair, is to ask chris to be sure the two pieces match in carbon pattern and direction if they need to line up. My splitters look great but one is flawless even pattern and the other is very random and wavy pattern.

 

Hopefully all will turn out well.. Did you ask him about the group buy idea?

 

If you call Chris at Mina, let him know your a forum member and he usually gives a better price. He's a good guy!

Yes, I have hand built some custom items. But I am in no position to produce them or even market them. One of the reasons is that the freight would be too expensive from my location in Guam USA. If I was located on the mainland, it might be a different issue.

 

Any update from Mina? Last I heard it was around two weeks. That was over a month ago.

 

I just got this email this morning. I left a message yesterday. Just about ready to order an after market. Ugh.

Nope. Left another email and asked when I could call to give payment info and still no response. Seriously ready to move on.
I was really hoping it was almost ready over two months ago with the photos he sent of the prototype. Seems to have stalled out.
I think it's not a part that will be in huge demand so it may not be on the top of the heap, production wise.

 

I called as well last Wednesday, twice with no reply. I'm almost ready to give up as well and move on.

 

Well, I'm trying this week and then I'm ordering this. My body shop guy has one in his garage painted and we sat it on the back and it actually looks pretty good! We plan on cutting down the feet so it sits almost flush on the sides and also may paint the sides my lunar gray. (And mount them differently so we can fill the mount holes. Not have the bolts showing.)
I really want the Mina spoiler but it's been months since it was supposed to be ready.
