Sorry to have to tell you, Joeglow, but you've posted in the wrong forum. Try posting in the X350 forum; this one is for the current, (and very "avant garde" style), current XJ saloon, model series X351 from 2009. Not all cars are affected, mind you.

I assume you know these cars are made of aluminium, not steel.

As to your question, 60k probably means you'll need a new air suspension compressor fairly soon if not already replaced.

Check for "filiform" corrosion at :
- leading edge of trunk lid
- trailing edge of trunk lid above the "Jaguar" escutcheon
- near D-post at lower screen seal
- door corners.

This is an unsightly but fairly harmless, and peculiar to aluminium, corrosion mode. However it doesn't look good and can be expensive to remedy if you take the car to a paint shop. Of course much depends on the shop, as those used to painting aluminium will know what to do.

Basics such as evidence of servicing and care by the previous owner is also essential. At 60k these cars are still young, with probably another 100k miles at least in front of them.
