2010 Jaguar xj supercharged
Hello everyone i am lost and needing some guidance I bought my dream car in February of this year a 2010 jaguar xj supercharge in great condition. It was driving fast up until last weekend. The dash is saying restricted performance and i took it to get the codes read and auto zone is reading codes most likely power train system. Timing chain sensor, timing chain guide, timing set as well as p0026 code and p0028, p0316, P1707-77, u0122-87. As far as the power train system and i needing to replace the timing chain tensioner, timing chain guide or do i juts get a timing set. I’m confused as of how all the things can juts come on at one time without any warring and i haven’t had the car long i had a 5,000 warranty i’ve added 15,000 miles i’m over my warranty. i live in greensboro nc anyone know of any independent mechanics that’s good other than the dealership and that route i should take and. please help

2010 X351 (2011 here) was only available with various V8 engines.
OP, your request for a good independent shop is a wise one. Don't do anything until a competent JAGUAR mechanic has diagnosed, not guessed, your situation. Our GDI engines make a lot of noise at idle, but a mechanic with experience on these engines can hear a bad timing chain from next door. BTW, this is not a trivial repair. At least $5k, not counting the "while I'm at it ..." maintenance and upgrades.
