Try a beaker like Pacific Motors or Jaguar Heaven

Well it's up to you but looking on EBay I see about 30-40 regulators and/or motors??
Only about $80 with the motor??
You can pay $300-$600 to if you want?
This is for #C2D31415 the front window;
Front Window Regulator

This is for the rear window regulator #C2D36914. This one is much less common and only a few are for sale on EBay. Also see higher prices but still $300 for the complete regulator and motor brand new.
Rear Window Regulator

Here are all 4 regulators without motors for around $200+ on Amazon too?
4 window regulators - No Motors 4 window regulators - No Motors

Again both front and rear regulators are on Amazon with motors for under $100?
Amazon Window Regulators Amazon Window Regulators

I am trying to show you the power of having the correct part number. Then you can search with the assurance you have the correct part. If you just start searching for Jaguar XJ window regulators you get a whole bunch of useless junk. But use the correct factory part number and things get better real quick!!

Thanks. I'll get the aftermarket one from Amazon for the front RH window. It looks like I don't have much of an option for the rear one in an XJL (different part number than the one for the standard XJ, I assume because the window is larger and heavier) unless I want a used part that may or may not have the same issue. I've had many bad experiences in the past with buying used parts from Ebay.

Yes I agree with you about used parts. If they are cosmetic items no problem but window regulators do wear and with used you just have no idea what that parts history is.

If you can post back with how the repair went. We don't see many window/regulator problems with this model Jaguar. Man on my old S Type it was a pretty common failure. Good thing it was a simple and quick repair on the S type.
