Getting ready to wrap my 2011 XJL here in the U.S. and I can't find a guide on how to remove the exterior door handles. Video or diagram would be helpful. Thanks!

Jaguar rarely waste time or money redesigning something. When I checked the X351 Workshop Manual (relevant extract below), it is identical to the design used on my XK!





The only tricky bit is putting the harness in the service position. Make sure it engages correctly on the bracket or you'll be removing the door card to get it back.

This photo of the door handle on my XK is clearer than the X351 Workshop Manual graphic:




The blue harness connector is released to remove the handle. The black plastic trim at the rear is just clipped into the door panel.

The diagram is so tiny, but helpful. It looks like i need a 4 Nm tool to remove the screw?
Also, I'm not good with car lingo, what does this mean:

The harness connector is normally inside the door. To access it for disconnection, it has to be pulled through and clicked onto a securing bracket:




You can feel it click into place rather than hear it.
