2012 xj Central junction box
Has anyone replaced a central junction box on an xj? I had no brake lights and traced it back to a burnt trace within the central junction box. I acquired a good used replacement. I install the replacement and the brake lights work. However the car will not start. Smart key not found. Is this a function for a locksmith? I have a good one in my area that can program a key to a jaguar. He has the SDD computer. Does anybody have any experience with this. He said he needs two keys to perform a lost all key function. I just wanted to make sure this is all I needed to do and didn't have to have any other procedure preformed at the dealer. Thank you any help is appreciated

I would make sure that the used replacement part number matches the original or at least supersedes from the original. If thet dont, you will need to get the proper one. Ive run through this before. After that, you may need more than just key programming, to get the vehicle to fully function. Will def need SDD to code to your vehicle for all parameters for it to fully work. At the end of the day, a good used one may not fully function. Its the risk you take with used, programmable modules.
