2012 XJL code B0001-13
Hello all,
My air bag light decided to come on the other day so I ran the code and came up with a B0001-13 - Driver's frontal stage 1 - deployment control intermittent . I did some googling and didn't find anything for the jag specifically but on other fords its seems to be the clock spring. Has anyone else experienced this? My car has not had air bag deployment that I am aware of. Any help would be great. Thanks!

amlarson2001, from what you are describing, i would second the clock spring being the culprit. The clock springs are known for causing intermittent connections in all sorts of cars. So, hearing about it here would not surprise me. You don't need the air bag to deploy to cause damage to the clock spring. Simply turning the steering wheel creates wear.
Well I did a little test yesterday and I'm convinced its the clock spring. When I start the car the airbag light isn't on. If I turn the wheel right its fine and doesn't turn on. As soon as I turn left the light comes on. Time to go on car-parts and find a used one. I will update if this does or doesn't solve my problem. Thanks
