Default Power steering flush?

2015 XJ 27K. I had the car serviced and was told the power steering fluid was dirty.(all oil looks like crap after a few thousand miles) It needs to be flushed and replaced.
I see conflicting intervals from now, some ware in the middle to never. Anyone change the fluid? Any recommendations?
Thanks

Michaelnv, I had to change the fluid in my power steering because I had to replace a hose because of a leak. Probably not a bad idea. I would say to simply remove the cap off the tank, disconnect the line on the underside of the car (behind the left front tire), drain out what you can, then refill with quality fluid and then run the car to work out the air bubbles (this will involve turning the steering wheel back and forth a few times. Fill up the tank to the full line and you are good.

So far I've never changed the PS oil in the two Jaguar X350 saloons I owned and the first one was over 100k miles when I part-exed it for a 2007 XJ. My previous two cars, a Mazda Xedos 9 and a Rover 75 both had PS and no oil was ever replaced on these either. It looks like unncessary work to me, but maybe they're being ultra-cautious. How many years have you been using this shop ?

Thanks Thermo
FM, The car is only serviced at the dealer. 5 years.
Lately they have been trying to add something extra.to the service. Last year it was the transfer case oil.

With mine I just siphoned out the reservoir tank, filled with ATF of correct spec and after a couple of days driving, repeated the process. Did this 4 or 5 times and for the most part have clean enough fluid in the system.

Chaning these oils won't do any harm, and I can believe them with the transfer case oil, as this has a chain in it amongst other parts, but it all seems rather early for a 6 year old car on very low miles.

I usually change the P/S fluid every couple of years, but in the case of our 5 year old XJ, it has only 11,000 miles on it, so I've been letting it slide. However, as "fossberry" mentioned, the "turkey baster method" seems to work well. On our previous XF, the P/S pump began to get a little noisy. I happened to be at the dealer, and talked with the parts department manager, and he told me that Jag had released a newly formulated fluid, to deal with the issue. I bought a couple of quarts (it wasn't cheap), flushed the pump out, 2-3 times, and things quieted right down.
