Question 2014 xjl supercharged losing power at top end

I just purchased a 2014 Jaguar XJL Supercharged with 70K miles on it from Carvana and it's a beautiful monster but after a day of driving, it is now losing power on the top end. On day one, I pushed it hard and it quickly ran through the gears with a fierce growl. But today, I gave it a hard push and it seemed to struggle to rev up and switch to the next gear. I'm no mechanic but it kind of felt like the supercharger was not pushing air as it should but I never got a check engine light. I absolutely love the car but Carvana offers a seven-day money-back guarantee and I can't afford to risk costly repairs. Any ideas of what the issue might be? Possibly something inexpensive???

Thanks, Tim

If I were you and I already had issues barely driving it, I’d return it. Hunting down an issue like this could be very simple, or extremely complicated and costly. And these cars can definitely get costly.

Thanks for your feedback. I think it's best to return it and maybe try another one with fewer miles. It's just so nice though.

definitely nice cars. Just find one that’s not already having issues so quickly. Good luck.

Check out the post I just made. The supercharger MAP pressure sensor didn't even throw a warning code at first until complete failure (surging at idle). I changed this cheap $60 (Canadian dollars) sensor and it fixed all my issues, including the hesitation/loss of power at the top end.

btw - it's a 2014 XJR
