Before anyone else will reply, hopefully, I let the car with the original FW module, backseat still not seated to be ready for one more action.
Temporary personal conclusion, for geeks: the HY32 module ending in AM has software version dated in 2020. Compared to the one ending in AH, which has 2019 software version. I guess the bootloader on the module is looking for some other files/names to boot up the software on it. Maybe the bootloader is expecting a complete kind of software for the newer infotaiment for cars starting 2020. And I am guessing this because for sure FW32 module should be capable like it has the same hardware on it, but just its bootloader is looking for something else than the JW/JJ softwares. I might try to investigate, but don't know how now, to see if I can publish a different PN instead of JW32 in the XML file, but which and be still compatible with XJ because will be no use if it will show me an E-Pace and consider my car to be an E-Pace size and dimensions
Oooor, to find a way to change the bootloader itself too.

For cutting my back frame I used this as a reference. I used a dremel and the best was one of the dremel ends that looks like dentist tools (cone end).
The upper parts which I colored now in purple, I made them the way they will catch a bit and hold the margins of the screen.
For orange points I have reused some of the bolts from the climate console I couldn't use and just drilled them in the bare plastic for better holding of the screen. I have actually fiddled a lot the screen until was sure of the right end position and only after I have added the bolts to be sure of their exact position

.

One thing I couldn't manage was the R-Logo (it is actually and R model but not XJR, just package ). I have changed in 2 places in CCF around first 200 something bits and also by the end of 200. Car variant and towing sub-variant.
I had lots of help and motivation listening to all my complains from fellow Facebook member Ryan. I guess he is member here too. He actually owns an XJR and his one after the screen upgrade lost also the R boot logo. Maybe something related to latest screen UI firmware that ignores this.

Happy retrofit here too and few updates. I will repeat myself few times in the next post.
I made it by cutting the back bracket and also have installed 2 screws remaining from the climate console, on the lower holes from the screen metallic bracket. They just got in perfectly. Also, on the upper side, when I was using the dremel to cut the back holder, I let some pieces that would not get into the screen view so they are not visible, but still holding a bit the upper part. Creativity at best while doing the cuts. I did the cutting starting watching over and over all the pictures here to check until what point to cut and I just did small cuts to bigger until all was good.

For programming I have tried the R-Logo by modifying the CCF in 2 places and re-learn variant both times for the InControl. Still getting only the leaper logo. Anyway, not a huge deal. It would have been cool while having an R model type even if it's not a full XJR.

I have used OpenPort Tactrix 2. It can not read M-Bus but I wasn't using it for code reading but for writing to Body Module and Gateway Module which can access easily.
I had to use older driver for trying to fully upload firmware to IPMB camera module which in the end didn't work because of the much newer bootloader. I will get one that has full part number here posted as tested and working.

Huge thanks to Ryan (member of jaguarforums.com) for staying all the process up with me, reading all my nags and giving all the input I required when I wasn't paying attention to all the stuff. I did this retrofit and some others as a first time retrofit with SDD all at once, starting in a day after lunch and finishing after 10PM.
Also huge huge thanks to @pistol for getting the front bezel for me and shipping out. In fact he helped me with the programming tool to.

I can tell you I have found this details in CCF. I guess if you change it in there it will do on the display too. Not sure if there is any option on the dash itself though. Maybe there is one, never needed to search for it.
But SDD is not a simple thing. You need a Win7 or Win10 laptop. Probably you have one. Need a reliable cable, not a clone. It will cost you 200 at least OpenPort Tactrix genuine or even double for DA-Dongle. You will also require a good power supply, I used a server one modified for 14.4v output from Aliexpress. Then you need some skills to install SDD. It is not complicated at all when you do have computer skills but if you don't have or just very basic, then it will not be easy. Better search on this and other forums. Eventually here: EAS: JLR SDD v165 - install files with patch. Online downloads working. - MHH AUTO - Page 10 where it is described about the latest way to do it.
Don't try cutting short with cables and power supplies, I tried, I spent more time and money if I got it right first time.
If you are based in UK, better to join the Facebook groups or post here asking for help and give some money or beers or both to who will help you. I can do it but only in Romania. Eventually get the tools and ask for remote help only.

Why make it so difficult? You can change kpg to mph and vise versa from the trip computer settings of the dashboard. You don't need sdd to do it.

Some fellow member here living in California helped me. I can't remember exactly from where he got it but I suppose it was Jaguar Palm Beach.

You can download the SDD from TOPIX. Please visit the following URL.
- https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/ui/mylinks

The patch file is .......... secret.
- Crack JLR SDD V158 software & patch free download | OBD2shop.co.uk Official Blog (no different v158 / v165)

The key is to activate engineering mode, which allows modification of CCF.

In some counties, cluster unit cannot be changed that must be changed Instrument Pack 1 value to "MENU".

Finely I've got 10" DV with all the frames and mounts and trying to program it with SDD v165

In Post 3 I see I need to edit XLM file.
---------
Name: MultiCAN 467
Byte: 466 (This means it is the 466th byte of data in the CCF data block. This may be different for your car, so make a note of the byte from your file.)
Note this is a multi-entry byte, and we only want bits 0-3.
The parameter for bits 0-3 is called PARAM_MCAN_FRNT_DISP_VARIANT.
You will likely only see values for 00, 04, 05 and 0F in the schema. Replace them all with the following:
00 (0000) Not supported
02 (0010) 8 inch single view
03 (0011) 8 inch dual view
04 (0100) 10.2 inch single view
05 (0101) 10.2 inch dual view
0F (1111) Error
--------

In SDD I see front display options as None (0x00) / Single View (0x04) / Dual View (0x05)
but in XML file it look as follows:

<parameter id="466_466_000_003" name="PARAM_MCAN_FRNT_DISP_VARIANT" mask="0x0F" type="ENUM">
<category display="false" edit="false" scope="base"/>
<parameter_title>
<tm>Front display variant</tm>
</parameter_title>
<select>
<option value="0x00" name="UNDEF">
<tm id="@NotSupported$I"/>
</option>
<option value="0x04" name="DIM">
<tm id="@J_SINGLE_VIEW"/>
</option>
<option value="0x05" name="OFF">
<tm id="@J_I_DUAL_VIEW"/>
</option>
<option value="0x0F" name="">
<tm id="@IDS_DMM_ERROR"/>
</option>
</select>

---------------

How to edit it to have all 6 options there?
the XLM file is last in the list of files, named CCF_J_veVIN_PAGIO00001_MyVIN-1962adbb138_20250412193605.XML

current screen is 8" and it looks that it works with this part:
<option value="0x04" name="DIM">
<tm id="@J_SINGLE_VIEW"/>
</option>

I've tried to change CCF to Dual View, then run Incontrol learn variant.
10" DV Screnn does not start.

Can someone guide me with programming?

Where from SDD loads values?
In XML name is set as <option value="0x04" name="DIM"> but in SDD ccf editor I see it as "Single view"
<tm id="@J_SINGLE_VIEW"/> - what is this id for?

Somehow managed to update and run 10" DV screen. Do not understand what was wrong on a first attempt,
just repeated same steps and it appeared to work.

Got another problem - need to replace central reinforcement bracket,
all disassembled - instrument panel lower part removed, and wires disconnected. BuI forgot to open glove box. and cannot open it to get access to 2 screws.
Any ideas how to open it ?

faster solution to open glove box was to reassemble console and reconnect everything.

Finally fitted new screen. All assembled and working fine except I need to update IPMB.

Suppose I have quite old one with SW version lower then 20. Is there any chance to re-program it, or I should search for a new module?

You need if I recall something about year 2019. If it's to new, will not work wither It needs to have the proper bootloader. So search for anything year 2019 to be sure. See my posts here or about this IPBM saga.

You need to change CCF > Cluster Unit to "MENU". Then you can choose between MPH and KPH.

Starting with the 22A, there is no “R” logo. This is a software bug. But there is an SVR. Use it!
