What is a latest infotainment software for XJ?
Mine say no updates available and current version is S20A_20.07.5-507626 and last update was at 20/12/2023.
Can anyone share details on triggering the "Configure existing module - InControl Touch Pro" option?
All the TSB instructions state it should be under "Extras" if the diagnosis is: Electrical - Information and entertainment system - Entertainment system, but I I only get options for the amplifier, BCM, key, and telematic.
I have tried many different symptom trees but have never been able to trigger the ICTP existing module option.
Starting with the 22A, there is no “R” logo. This is a software bug. But there is an SVR. Use it!
Where is the SVR logo hidden in the CCF?
The only option I saw was something like Sub Brand - Mainstream / Racing. Mine was already set to racing.
When i bought my 2016 XJR last year it had the R logo on power up, but after me updating the firmware to S22 i lost it and got the Jag logo instead. This was before i took the 10" screen out of my previous R-Sport and fitted it into the XJR. Would love to know how to change it to SVR.
Cheers, Ryan.

For cutting my back frame I used this as a reference. I used a dremel and the best was one of the dremel ends that looks like dentist tools (cone end).
The upper parts which I colored now in purple, I made them the way they will catch a bit and hold the margins of the screen.
For orange points I have reused some of the bolts from the climate console I couldn't use and just drilled them in the bare plastic for better holding of the screen. I have actually fiddled a lot the screen until was sure of the right end position and only after I have added the bolts to be sure of their exact position
.
One thing I couldn't manage was the R-Logo (it is actually and R model but not XJR, just package ). I have changed in 2 places in CCF around first 200 something bits and also by the end of 200. Car variant and towing sub-variant.
I had lots of help and motivation listening to all my complains from fellow Facebook member Ryan. I guess he is member here too. He actually owns an XJR and his one after the screen upgrade lost also the R boot logo. Maybe something related to latest screen UI firmware that ignores this.
If that's directed to me, I'd like to enable Android Auto.
So you have upgraded hardware, modified CCF and are at the step for relearn variant of infotainment? Android Auto and Apple Car Play also requires to have the HDMI type of connector in the armrest box between seats. Do you have it?
You need to change CCF > Cluster Unit to "MENU". Then you can choose between MPH and KPH.

Hi, Can you get some more info for me and Ryan, which row in CCF and what hex number should we use for getting the SVR logo with the 10" screen and latest firmware of the screen and infotainment?

It's a very simple job, you just need to modify 204Byte, 000/007bit. Although CCF goes up to 0x03, add 0x04. 0x04 is exactly what you need like this:
Hi mate. Do you know if any coding is missing from the ccf edit you listed above? I have tried to edit ccf adding the extra parameter 0x04 but it is not giving me the RS to select, only the 3 origional parameters already in the ccf. I notice the other ones start with a <tm id= but the RS parameter does not.
*edit*
Ok i have just realised were you added the extra code at the bottom! But do i just copy and paste the 0x04 and the <tm>RS<tm> part or is there more to it as the others have a name and more code for them.
cheers mate

Ryan, we want a picture here with it, mate! @gloriashield , thanks a lot in name of all of us for all your support here and other forums. Also, nice blog, it inspired me in some ways but for now I play lazy for a while until I get some more time and eventually copy some others of yours mods.

Yes.
I am in the US with a 2016. Based on the screen layout I think I am on NGI phase 2.5 … but I cannot find much about what phase 2 would look like so I could be mistaken. I cannot get SDD to trigger any kind of NGI update, and my system is not updated enough for SOTA. I read somewhere that I may need to get a dealer level Topix account to "activate" my VIN to allow updates to the ICTP but have not dug into that yet.
I can get the 10" screen to work, but there are issues. Navigation does not work (with the 8" screen installed it shows maps from November 2018). No Android Auto or Car Play buttons show up. I also have missing icons for the seats and Eco screen.
I modified CCF to get there and ran the variant learn process, but obviously there's something else that needs addressed. Any ideas?

Yes, this is the correct process now. Get a daily topix sub then search for infotainment update bulletin.
It says that you have to follow a link, mark your system as "update available" then use the infotainment screen to "search for updates".
A pop up on the car screen will prompt for update, just accept it will proceed.
Been a while since I've read it but this is more or less the process.
Haven't done it on mine though, I just replaced it with android from Ali to avoid all this circus 🎪
I was lucky to have my car upgraded to latest version from previews owner. Follow the process @TomariGR gave, it might sort out all the issues with the newest software. For the update, if you have issues to use the SIM data, I think you can also connect to any WiFi while stationary to search and connect to a WiFi and use that. For what I remember I read, it can take many hours to get the update and apply so be patient. If you have any way to keep the awake would be the best or do a hotspot from you mobile while you're using the car, I guess it can download partially the update and resume whenever it can.
Yes deffo use WiFi if possible. Not only mobile network is unreliable for big file downloads, but the software in the infotainment system and the mobile network hardware are not very robust and might end up having to redownload multiple times from scratch instead of resuming just because of a small network bleep.
If not available, next best thing is hotspot from phone but make sure you have enough battery both phone and car. Better connect a charger.
The fact that the update is available only selectively via topix and not released to all cars automatically reveals 2 things:
A) JLR is being greedy, trying to save a few quids of network expenses per download
B) things can go south easily if download or installation is interrupted and can lead to warranty.
Therefore, be very careful. Especially during installation, do not run out of battery!

Thank you both. The 2016 is only 3G SIM and I am in the US, so that's not an option anyway. I have the 2.5, 3, & 4 NGI files all downloaded thanks to @gloriashield sharing links on their blog. When I get a chance I will pay the Topix ransom and hope for the best; it's always a challenge when you're on the clock.

I was waiting on a reply from @gloriashield as i think some code is missing. Once i have that sorted i will post pictures! 🙂
I just wanted to say thanks for the guide, I was looking to enable PDC auto activation on my XF x260, and it was described spot on (almost, I could not find `intouch re-learn` option in SDD, so in Service Function there was `InTouch erase and write configuration` (or something like that) which did the treat.
