Default 2016 Jag XJ Infotainment and sunroof controls vibration issues resolved

I had an issue with the infotainment screen not starting when I start the car. Some times it comes up after 5 min and sometime instantly. I could not notice any pattern. Also I had some buzz/vibration from sunroof controls. I contacted the service advisor, they had the car for 2 days and fixed both issues.

For infotainment issue, the problem is with Voltage Quality Module, Tech installed new unit and it fixed the issue.

For sunroof control buzz issue, apparently the felt had wear & tear and they fixed it.

Can someone please provide more detail for the Voltage Quality Module, such as the part number and location? I have the same issue with my 2017 XJL infotainment screen. I've looked for patterns like heat, time of day, etc. with no clear trend. Being able to replace something quick and easy would be extremely helpful.

Trent,

If you have a 2017, then the car is still under warranty! Take it to the dealer.

Learned something new today and that was the voltage quality module. Never heard of it and never seen it in the shop manual.
It would be interesting to get an explanation of it's function? Of course the name does point us in the right direction.

Hi, I have the sunroof overhead control panel issue with buzz/vibration as well - do you know what felt they replaced?
