5.0 supersport decat. anyone got experiance?
as title guys. recently i can smell something which resembles a blocked cat (eggy sort of smell)
i have had it before on previous cars and it was indeed a blocked cat.
now my jag is sitting at above 121k miles, i am toying with the idea of gutting the original cats. my local mapper is familiar with this engine and is able to tune to compensate.
has anyone done this to the xj before and what was the end result both in terms of performance and sound gain. i already have a muffler delete so it is very loud.
i would rather it not be any louder but would love a more crackly note that you find in the svr and f type models.
any advice is appreciated and please dont mention the mot rules etc i am well aware of them.
thanks in advance guys

Im running decat. The decat itself won't give you any extra power, the car needs to be tuned. Pops and crackles are in a tune too, mine is making a lot of them and you can clearly see a flames in a dark.
