Much better to upload to YouTube and post the link here. You can upload directly from your phone. And always appreciated to film in landscape.

I did this on my XJ a few months ago and it work perfectly. It is connected to the car's ambient lighting. There is no second switch or anything, it works just like the original manufacturer's product when lights of the car comes up it comes up etc
The color is the same as the inside ambiance of the car, ICE BLEU, no difference in real, and it looks really nice, beautiful, It's a shame that this is difficult to achieve the results with a camera to show
The strip under the windshield actually has to be "pushed inside" or you will have a glare reflection on the windscreen and it is absolutely not nice and disturb while driving. That said, I pushed it in as far as I could and now no glare no reflection, It doesn't get in the way while driving, no glare just that blue line showing the deep curved dash it's really relaxing, and it's really beautiful. I'm always impressed by the changes it makes, everyone who rides at night as a passenger said, "That's really nice," but no one thought this was a b after market thing that I've done

see some pictures. if you are interested, I can put here step by step

SORRY not possibe to have pictures on the topic, the Forum has an issue, it download until 90% and it freeze there so not possible of UPLOAD

but I did a quick film of my car 2 days ago, you can see at day how it looks the led strip installed in the dash, and doors etc and if you want just to see the lighst on go to 8:30 and you see the car driving with the interior lights are on

Great looking ride!

My original plan was to do my ambient lighting the same way... til I thought about the glare. Good to know it can be avoided. I may add that dash part at a later date.

I wish I knew which unit he got. I don't see that option on my aftermarket screen.

yes it would be interesting to know as I have a Android like what he has put up but mine does not have that option and I did do a lot of research and asked sellers before buying the unit but none had anything that would communicate with the car..

he might not be on here any more as it was a while when he did post this shame would love to integrate my unit to car specially to control the ambient lighting

I've come across some people using their ambient light app via Carplay
