ive been collecting parts to add Apple car play to my 2016 autobiography.
i had an email from Jaguar inviting me to visit dealership (before covid)
since then I’ve been told lots of information , I need a bigger screen , I need a new bezel - after 6 months of trawling online I’ve got all the bits, however I’ve been told the software on my In control pro needs to be updated to version 19 to get the sota updates. My car is on v18
i visited the dealership last week who said - you need to buy the software now through Jaguar - then re visit the dealer with proof it’s been paid
never heard of that before- I spoke to the crc centre who said the dealership should deal with all of that
I’ve had the screen in and fitted but I can’t find if my car can take the new update of the software- the button is missing with the update on it
Wish I could help you. I have side question that you may know the answer. With your infotainment screen removed, does it look like you can reach the 4 bolts that hold down the clock and air register panel in the front of the panel, or is their framing for the infotainment in the way?
Behind the radio screen there is a frame to secure the screen and heater matrix - from what I can see the frame goes just under the clock so it would be difficult to see the screws you mention
