Default Auto Interior lights on when door opened?

I have a 2018 XJR 575. Last night we were out until 9pm (late for us). When I unlocked and opened the door no interior lights came on including the puddle lights. I just spent 20 minutes in the car with the owners manual trying to figure out how to activate the feature that turns on courtesy light when one of the doors is opened. No luck. I also put the item in the search box in the upper right corner and could not find anything. Any help with how to activate that feature will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ralphwg, go out to your car and sit in the driver's seat. If you look at the overhead console, you will see that there are 3 lights there. With the driver's door open, touch the center light (forget if you have to hold your finger there for a few seconds). This should turn on the main cabin lights for you.

In addition to Thermo's advice above.

Press and hold the center light, after a few seconds the light will flash and 'Auto', or 'Off', will be displayed on the dash. You can then cycle to the setting you want.

A big thank you to Thermo & Wombat. Pressing the middle light switch for several seconds with the key in my pocket and the ignition off did the trick.

Default Great Forum for solid Advice

This Jaguar Forum is sooooo helpful!

After a few months of not lighting up, I finally decided to look into the problem. I just could not figure out the issue. Came here to search "Interior Lights". Poof, the solution was here all the time!

Thank you to those who came before me!
