Brake Pad Worn Light
Hi all. My 2012 Jaguar XJL Supersport had this warning go on, and then off. It went on when it was raining and went off when road conditions were dry. These are likely the rear brakes. It appears there is ample pad left. Do I need to replace this warning indicator? (I know I need to replace the pads soon). Could you please recommend brake pad parts and warning indicator and an e-retailer that sells them? Thank you for your help.
Yes, the warning sensor are type of "wear off to light a warning", so you need always new sensor(s)
Note: One in front, one on rear, so if your rears needed to be changed, you only need one new sensor. (they are cheap)
In our region most of the people bypass the sensors by connectig 2 sensor wires together, because the pads are checked twice a year during summer/winter tyre change anyway.
