Strange brake pad warning light experince...
So I washed my car yesterday. I take it to a DIY, coin-op place. Truth be told, I blast those wheels pretty hard (DAMN YOU hard-to-clean Kalimnos wheels!).
I start up to leave... and I've got the yellow BRAKE PAD LEVEL LOW warning. Never seen THAT before. I drive about 45 minutes, stop-n-go driving. Warning stays on.
I fire the car up again a few hours later-- warning is gone.
Same thing the next day. It's like the warning light was a bad dream.
The car stops fine. Stopped fine before. So....
Thoughts? What happened? Is there an Action Item for me here?

Sounds like the water got in & shorted the low pad warning circuit which has now dried out.
It's only a warning system that your pads are getting thin & should be changed.
I wouldn't worry about it.
